This new build was shaped through gentle, practical guidance that helped the homeowner move from overwhelmed to confident.

This homeowner reached out to us after feeling completely overwhelmed by the number of decisions still sitting on her shoulders.

After years of delays trying to get the build underway, she was exhausted by the process and worried about getting everything right before construction finally began.

She needed clarity, direction, and someone who could guide her through the selections and documentation her builder required.

Our Approach

We stepped in to support her from both the inside out. As we moved through her selections, we helped refine her internal palettes and materials, while also guiding her through important external decisions. One key moment was reassessing a feature pier on the façade. She had been unsure about it for some time but didn’t know how to navigate the change or communicate it. With our support, she gained the confidence to make the adjustment, improving the balance and overall look of the home.

Throughout the build, our documentation became her anchor. Her builder had never worked with a designer before, so he often called with questions he would normally ask the client. Because she kept our Finishes Schedule with her at all times, she was able to answer confidently and clearly, avoiding confusion on site and taking back control of a process that once felt overwhelming.

When we returned to photograph the completed home, she was genuinely grateful for the guidance and clarity she felt throughout the journey. Seeing her space finished, calm, and exactly as she had hoped made every step worth it—and she absolutely loves the home she worked so hard to bring to life.
